Overview

The 2009 Toyota Camry is a mid�size sedan from the Toyota stable. Renovated for 2007 model year, the Camry has been named by AAA and Parents Magazine as one of the best cars for families in the Sedan category, in 2007.

This four-door sedan can accommodate five passengers comfortably, at the same time it's relatively compact and easy to park. It offers a smooth and quiet ride and can also accelerate with vigor. It is rated an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV-II)

Power and Performance

The 2009 Toyota Camry is available in a choice of four trims: CE, LE, SE, and XLE. The standard configuration is a 158-hp, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission, while a five-speed automatic transmission is optional. The LE, SE, and XLE models get an optional 268-hp, 3.5-liter V6 and six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifting.

Body and Styling

The 2009 Toyota Camry is fitted with chrome-tipped dual exhausts. Aerodynamic multi-reflector halogen headlamps with auto on/off feature and aerodynamic multi-reflector halogen headlamps with blackout sport trim and auto on/off feature are standard across the models.

Safety Features

All 2009 Camry models are equipped with anti-lock brakes, which aid steering control during a panic stop. The ABS features brake assist, which applies the brakes more quickly and consistently when it senses the onset of a panic stop. Its electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) balances brake application front and rear for optimal stopping distance. A tire-pressure monitor is standard, while the Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control are optional on the base, LE, SE and XLE models.
